A Story of Strength and Grace: Amanda’s Breast Cancer Journey
Meet Amanda—a mother, a fighter, and a two-time breast cancer survivor. At 40 years old, she is courageously facing breast cancer for the second time.
Eight years ago, Amanda received her first diagnosis just days after giving birth to her son. She underwent surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation with unwavering determination. She survived. She thrived. She became a mother and a survivor in the same breath.
Earlier this year, during a routine mammogram, Amanda received the devastating news that the cancer had returned. Now, recovering from a bilateral mastectomy and preparing to begin chemotherapy again, she is facing a new chapter in her journey—with the same strength, but new emotions. This time, her son is old enough to understand what’s happening. And while she is surrounded by an incredible support system, the emotional and physical toll is different.
This portrait session is a tribute to Amanda’s resilience. It honors the quiet power of a woman rewriting her story with grace and grit. Through these images, we capture the love of a mother, the bravery of a survivor, and the hope that lives in every moment.
