When Purpose Finds a Microphone: Magic Hour Foundation Featured on Power 96

There are moments in life when you are reminded that the work you are doing is reaching farther than you ever imagined.

Recently, I had the profound honor of being invited to speak on Power 96 to share the heart and mission behind the Magic Hour Foundation. Sitting in that studio was surreal. Just a few years ago, this foundation existed only as an idea rooted in love, grief, and the desire to transform pain into something meaningful.

Now, that mission is being heard across our community.

A Conversation Rooted in Purpose

During the interview, we spoke about why the Magic Hour Foundation was created and the lives that continue to shape its path.

What began as a deeply personal journey has grown into a nationwide network of compassionate volunteer photographers who donate their time and talent to provide complimentary photo sessions for cancer survivors and beloved pets facing a cancer diagnosis.

These sessions are more than photographs.

They are moments of dignity.
Of visibility.
Of remembrance.
Of love.

They allow families to pause time, even if only for a little while.

Bringing Awareness to the Human Side of the Lens

One of the most meaningful parts of the conversation was the opportunity to bring awareness to the emotional impact photography can have during life’s most fragile seasons.

When someone is navigating illness, life can quickly become defined by appointments, treatments, and uncertainty. A photo session offers something different. It creates space for connection, tenderness, and presence.

It reminds individuals that they are more than their diagnosis.

And that their story deserves to be documented with care.

A Moment of Gratitude

Being welcomed onto Power 96 was not just a personal milestone. It was a moment of visibility for every survivor, every family, every volunteer photographer, and every supporter who believes in this mission.

Awareness opens doors.

It helps us reach more families.
It strengthens our volunteer community.
It allows the foundation to continue expanding its impact nationwide.

For that, I am deeply grateful.

Looking Ahead

Walking out of the studio, I felt an overwhelming sense of clarity.

The Magic Hour Foundation is not just growing; it is thriving. It is driven by a collective belief that moments matter, memories matter, and people deserve to feel seen even in life’s hardest chapters.

This interview was a reminder that when purpose leads, the right conversations follow.

And this is only the beginning.
